Helping the Helpless

Spring is a busy time of year for us.  Not only are the buyers coming to life now that the cold weather has (mostly) left us, but the interest rates are still at record lows, so the refinance market continues to be strong.

But real estate isn’t the only thing occupying our time right now. On March 15, we had the privilege of attending the annual CareNet Pregnancy Center fundraising banquet.

CareNet is a Christian non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and promoting the sanctity of human life. We had a great night of connecting with friends and learning how CareNet is making a huge, positive impact in the lives of young families here in Owensboro!

For more information or to donate time or resources, contact Hannah Goebel at carenet_hgoebel@bellsouth.net.

Then on March 23, we were one of the sponsors of the Aid The Homeless Benefit which was organized by the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association and held at the Owensboro Museum of Art. The numbers are all in now, and we were able to raise just over $38,000 for our community homeless shelters (Daniel Pitino Shelter, Boulware Mission, St. Benedict’s and O.A.S.I.S). We look forward to a bigger and better event next year, but in the meantime you can still give! Just visit http://www.aidthehomeless.com/.
